About Bilda Bike

Quality Bikes at Affordable Prices

The Story

Bilda Bike was founded by two wild college students with an even crazier vision.

The idea was to provide an affordable custom bike-building experience. At the time, that didn’t exist. Custom almost always translates to expensive. How could they do it?

After building relationships with reputable parts suppliers, the duo was ready to hit the market. Streamlining the manufacturing and build process allowed them to cut costs considerably and pass those savings on to you, the customer. People are often surprised that Bilda Bikes are made with the same or better components than competitors, yet usually cost less.

They went from a backyard to a living room. Then from a living room to a 600sqft store. Then from a 600sqft store to a 10,000sqft headquarters. The pair built a solid local reputation quickly by selling over 1000 custom bikes/year in Charleston, SC. As the reputation grew, so did their facility! Bilda Bikes are sold locally in Charleston, SC out of the Affordabike Bicycle Shop which is also under the same ownership.

In addition to offering quality products at affordable prices, Bilda Bike is also known for our friendly and professional staff. We always go the extra mile to give you the attention you deserve and treat you fairly.

Have you seen a bike in your local bike shop but didn’t like one or two things about it? Don’t pay for that! Build your dream bike from our vast parts selection without sacrificing your bank account!
