Guru Fit System
Setting a new standard for bike fitting
How We Fit Bikes
The Guru Fit System is a sophisticated technological system that sets a new standard for bike fitting. The machine takes a digital reading of the rider’s measurements for a starting point, then the fitter uses a remote to move the components up, down, forward, and back while the rider is pedaling, making it easy to compare positions in an instant. Multiple positions are captured then saved so that the rider can switch back and forth to compare the pros and cons. Often times customers are celebrating one position only to find an even more optimal position 10 minutes later in the fit.
In traditional bike fittings, the rider uses their bike set up on a trainer. As the fitter makes adjustments, the rider has to get on and off the bike, waiting a few minutes in between each position change, while the fitter is swapping parts. This lag time can cause a disconnect whereas the rider cannot discern as easily how one adjustment differs from the previous adjustment.
Riders often come in excited about a particular brand because of an article they read, something a friend said, or a previous experience with the brand. Others rely on a sales person at their local shop to recommend their favorite brand. After the sale, the fitter must make countless adjustments to the bike to make it as comfortable and efficient as possible.
The Guru Fit System come with over 2,000 bike geometries pre-programmed into, including brands Affordabike does not carry, allowing riders to take a simulated test ride on any of these models. Once the rider is properly fitted, the system can also show what particular models will fit the rider best. Afterwards you will receive an email with all of the measurements for your bike, in case you ever have to ship it or if you purchase a new bike later on.
Bike Finder – $125
The Guru Fit System is pre-programmed with over 2,000 different bike geometries, including brands we do not carry. This means riders can get a feel for bikes that we do not have in stock. The rider will get an idea of what fits them best out-of-the-box with the least amount of adjustment. The former philosophy is that riders purchase a bike and then end up making a ton of adjustments to make it fit correctly. The Guru approach gives the rider a truly unbiased opinion of which bike will be the best for them.
